At first, the player can only take what is known as quick jobs-these jobs involve making hired driver deliveries while employed by a delivery company, with a provided truck and all expenses (fuel, road tolls, ferry crossings) covered. When starting out, players choose their HQ's location in any of the game map's cities. Gameplay follows an open world style, with players being essentially free to travel anywhere in their lorries, provided they can keep up with fuel, maintenance and toll costs, alongside fines if they incur any. Since starting my journey, I also saw some other parts of Romania that I would like to go through, like the Caspian Sea coast, going eastwards to Turkey, as well as the foothills of the Alps and through Dalmatia.Driver's view from a DAF XF during gameplay. One of them is Transylvania, where I got to see and experience the blood shed history of the region, from its origins to the present times.

While doing this, I came across a lot of places that I had not visited before. So having started with a new country, I decided to make use of Euro Truck Simulator 2 Mod: Romania Map Add-On to help me discover new places and discover the things that were interesting about each one.

The result is that I have yet to go through more than half of the countries in the game (I'm on 70) and while travelling through some countries, it has proven to be more of a challenge than before. The reason for this is that I wanted to find out if this was going to be a region that I enjoyed going through and not one that would be an annoyance or a pain in the neck. This time, I made no efforts to cover such a huge distance. The first time I visited Romania, I took about a week and a half to cover all the way from Transylvania to Brasov before I got to Romania itself, which was actually a really long trip considering that I had to take the train as well. This is the second time that I have managed to obtain a beta version of this fantastic game and I cannot say enough about how much I like it. It also allows you to decide how far you want to go by choosing different maps, making the game more interesting and varied. You can now choose whether you want to visit Romania's capital city, Brasov, Romania's agricultural regions, Transylvania and the mountains or cruise along the seashore. Euro Truck Simulator 2 mod: Romania map add-on is a perfect mod for those who are tired of the repetitive nature of the maps in the base game.
